Has a light smell of caramel and herbal hops. Taste is very floral, reminiscent of patchouli. Makes me think I’m drinking a hippie, and I have never met a hippie that I wanted to taste. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2008 12oz - Abita has always had good beers, but never really great ones. This one had balance, enough hops, yet not overwhelming the other flavors present. The wood finish was a surprise in an enjoyable way. This is a next generation beer for them as I see it. thechandler (270), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 15, 2008 Pours copper-orange. Aroma is light, slightly floral and slightly citric. Flavor is nice and hoppy. Quite floral. Not too bitter. Good for a pale ale. For the record, by the way, this is definitely a pale ale, not a golden/blond ale as is listed. presario (2983), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2008 Light foam on dark yellow. Light juicy hop aroma; melon and grapefruit. Light malt flavour with lots of melon. A touch of pepper in the finish. Poobah (102), New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 9, 2008 Hoppy, floral nose. Amber color with moderate head retention. Crisp mouthfeel. The finish is layered with sweetness and slight bitterness. Abita needs to make this one of their staples. BEERGUY007 (206), Scotia, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 30, 2008 12 ounce bottle glenville beverage. Hoppy which I like but I didn’t care for the citrus part. Looks nice, has a golden color. It’s ok, not in my top 10 by any means. BREWMUSKCLES (1075), New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 25, 2008 SOFT and clean tasting with quality hops helps enhance the appeal of this refreshing beer. too mild of flavor in every respect keeps the beer from being extraordinary. again more clean than fruity a decent chugger or i would tone down a heavy ipa on a hot day by combining the two. all in all ok. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Clear dark gold with a fleeting head. Nice but mild aroma of floral hops and pale cracker malts. Smooth medium body. Mild flavor of pale malts is lightly sweet. Has a mildly bitter hop bite to finish. No off flavors. Typical mild but drinkable Abita brew.
