gws57 (997), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Sep 7, 2007 Found this one bottled in South Elgin, Illinois. Bright amber pour with a dainty off-white head, a bit of citrusy malts in the nose but this is really quite balanced. Nice strong finish. A good example of the style.
blklab2007 (595), Connecticut, USA Nov 15, 2008 bottle labeled restoration ale poured a brassy amber color with a thin off white head that fell to a ring in the glass quickly. aroma has caramel malt, sweetness, and light spice. mouth feel is average and there is fairly good carbonation. flavor has a malted body with caramel, spices, and some minerals. finishes withlight bitterness and spices lingering.
CelticBrew (535), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Oct 25, 2008 Poured from 12 oz bottle a light and clear golden, forming decent white foamy head. Aroma of hops, malts and flowery notes. Flavour is sweet, almost lager like. Dry hops, malts, and straw come through. Decent, and clean beer. Thin mouthfeel, perhaps perfect for hot days and mowing. JustinFromAL (71), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Oct 18, 2008 I agree with the last rater, tastes more like an APA and I think some of the new bottles even have APA on the label. Pours gold with an orange tint. Fruity aroma, would like a a little more hops in this, but all in all a nice beer. Taverner (509), San Ramon, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 This should be an APA. It’s hoppy enough to pass that muster. The malt is a little sweet, but still dry enough to pass for an APA. Flavor is sugary, but fades into dryness in the end. Hoppy nose, but hops fade quick.
