Commercial Description:
Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

Bottle: Poured a golden amber with a white head. The aroma was light hops and citrus. The flavor was light hops, light fruit and a light flavor. Overall, an easy drinker.

Pours a golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. It has a faint aroma of grapefruit and hops, although the scent is definitely not too strong. The taste, likewise, is like that of a slightly weaker IPA with hints of grapefruit and malt, but nothing too strong. The palate is a bit weak. Not a bad beer, but not one of the best pale ales I’ve had.

This is a great beer just to chill and drink with friends. Very easily drinkable. It poured light amber with smallish white head.

Malt and earthy hops on the nose, foamy head and high carbonation. Very drinkable with some decent bitterness. Finishes up clean. Overall a pretty good beer.

Reviewed 7/21/2009 (bottle): Pours a clear golden brown color body, with a small frothy white head. Somewhat musty aroma, some fruitiness, heavy grape. Grapy taste, some mustiness, some maltiness. Good taste. Somewhat dusty taste. Almost like a roasted taste.

Poured a clear yellow/amber with a large white head. Aroma of lemon and hops. Taste is slightly sweet with some hops. The malts are interesting along with the bread flavor. Finish is smooth and crisp. An interesting combination of sweet and bitter.

12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pours clear golden orange with white head. Aroma is hops, citrus and pale malts. Flavor is english malts, caramel, faint hops and sort of a sweet bready flavor. Smells better than it tastes. Rather weak pale ale.
