Commercial Description:
Abita Golden is a crisp, clean continental lager. Just four ingredients is all it takes: American malt, Mt. Hood hops, German lager yeast and pure Abita spring water. As the name applies, Abita Golden has a brilliant gold color.

A nothing special lager. The hops are hardly noticable, tastes like any macro.

Clear and golden, with a thin fizzy head. SLight hint of malt in the aroma. Flavor is marginal and rather flat.

Smells like crap. I’d give it a zero if I could. Tastes like a lager, nothing premium about it. A Natty light by another name. Not a winner.

Grassy aroma with malts that smell vaguely of cornbread. Bright golden color with a quickly diminishing two finger thick head. Light and sweet fore tastes a bit of cornbread and karo syrup. Has a decent feel to it. Very low hop profile. This is a lager I could drink a few of.

Pours a slightly hazy pale gold color with lots of bubbles and a medium layer of foamy white head. Slightly grassy, slightly sour malt aroma. Flavor is light and watery, sweet, grassy with a bitter hay finish. Overall, not impressed at all.

Mild sweet malt aroma. Taste is similar to the amber with a slightly sour malt flavor but a little more watery and astringent. Reminds me of Yuengling. Probably ok as a lawnmower beer. Not terrible, but its too lame to be recommended.

This light golden beer with a thin white head smelled more sweet than tart than sweet, but at least it wasn’t skunky like most easy to find lagers. It had a light to medium body and a wheaty hint. Also a little tart as the aroma suggested.

12 oz bottle Pours a clear gold wit an average white fizzy head. Has a well balanced aroma. Not one part overpowering. Has a crisp clean taste with hints of corn, not bad though. This is a good eating beer. Nice beer to compliment food while eating dinner.
