Commercial Description:
Abita Golden is a crisp, clean continental lager. Just four ingredients is all it takes: American malt, Mt. Hood hops, German lager yeast and pure Abita spring water. As the name applies, Abita Golden has a brilliant gold color.

Light gold color with no head. Grains, grains, and more grains... kind of in that grain silo realm too. Muddled.

Bottled. For a lager, this had some decent flavor to it with a little bith of hop coming through. Not much more than a thirst-quencher, but it’s an okay easy-drinking lager.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Golden (as promised), not much of a head but high on carbonation. A bit watery but with a pretty good malt charater though. Discreet hoppiness. Good thirst quencher but not much personality.

Pours a blah typical goldy lager color with a very thin head. Slight lacing. Aroma is mildly hoppy. Taste is very average but with a hint of citrus and decent malt, slightly better than your typical macro-lager.

Nice pale golden color, small white head that hung around for awhile then faded slowly to a small lace. The aroma is lightly malty with a good hop presence. The flavor is fairly light, some what sweet and mildly malty with a decent but light hop showing. The brew is smooth but light in body.Over all a fairly drinkable brew and decent enough to have a few more around.

Many, many, many of these were consumed by old Corny and I at Tipitina’s one night...I know we got home, I just don’t remember how.
