Commercial Description:
Abita Golden is a crisp, clean continental lager. Just four ingredients is all it takes: American malt, Mt. Hood hops, German lager yeast and pure Abita spring water. As the name applies, Abita Golden has a brilliant gold color.

Clear and light yellow with a fuzzy white foam top. Starchy aroma. Smooth and malty, not unlike a macro. Tinge of yeast?

Yuck. I could do without this. It tastes like Budweiser, with a slightly more wheaty bent. Not that great.

The aroma is yeasty and moderate, the appearance pretty and golden, the flavour light, crisp, and rejuvenating, the palate thin but fresh. My overall impression is favourable but not overly so.

Not much to say about this beer... may as well see my rating for Michelob because it tastes about the same. Unremarkable.

One of the better lagers I’ve had. Rich golden color with a thin head that dissiapted quite slowly, thicker mouthfeel than most lagers, very little nose of note, slightly malty taste. This wasn’t too bad.

Nothing too special here but quite costly on tap at the local Taco Mac. A golden apperance with a moderate head. The flavor is mainly lemons and has a slight hop presence. A good lawnmower beer or good for a day on the slip and slide. An average lager.

Yellow with big white head...this is the smelliest beer I have ever had...smells like a skunky lager is a freaking understatement...doesn’t smell skunky, it really smells like a skunk...this is horrible...taste is a little better...light skunky maltiness...a little doughy in the finish though...

Clear orange with a thin white head. Light malts, a tad bit on the cookie side, light watery body with soft carbonation. Not that great.
