Commercial Description:
Abita Golden is a crisp, clean continental lager. Just four ingredients is all it takes: American malt, Mt. Hood hops, German lager yeast and pure Abita spring water. As the name applies, Abita Golden has a brilliant gold color.

Light hazy yellow, small head. Nothing special in appearance. Smells like any cheap macro- beer tent smelling. Grassy taste, and kinda plain... nothing special whatsoever about this beer. May as well drink whatever beer the media decides to force down our throats, because this is no better.

Crystal clear straw with medium white head. Aroma is mild, grassy, some metallic, light grain. Taste is lemon, grass, very mild grassy bitter finish. Light, crisp body. Decent lawnmower beer.

Deep yellow color. Nice head and carbonation. Smells like citrus, slightly yeasty. Tastes dry, with hops and citrus at the finish.

Light golden color. Some kind of white head. Some hops. skunky malt. Nothing special. Wouldn't recommend trying this. Bought this 12 oz bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, NY.

Slightly spicy aroma. Generally, not much more flavor than the lagers that you would expect. Slight hops, just tenough to keep it interesting, but still very smooth and drinkable.

Was not sure of the style when I purchased and did not look at the label closely, but when I openned this there was no doubt that this was a lager. Slightly hazy light golden color with a diminished dense white head. Pale malt nose with a hint of spicy hops. Pale malt flavors, with a light bitterness. A straight forward not pretenses type lager.

Nice clear golden color (as you would expect considering the name). I like the aroma but I can't quite place it - it's actually slightly odd (but in a good way). This was a very good beer, which surprised me because I wasn't expecting too much. Very crisp, clean and refreshing.

Very hazy golden colour with a nice white head. Actually looks really nice. Smells of metal, yeast, a bit of hops and strong malt dominate the aroma. Light to Medium-bodied; Subtle flavours of the malt and a bit of hops showing. A very mild finish, just a bit more flavour than water! Overall, not an offensive beer in any sense, but just not enough flavour in the taste. The appearance is very nice though! I got this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.
