Appearance: black tea like with hint of amber , large fair top , some lace shown 4- Nose: Brown and crystal malts with hint of caramel , black tea , British hops blended with west coast , sweet fruity end. Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied. Cookie dough like, sweet with bitterness covered in caramel vanilla sweets. Creamy textured, not as drinkable as it could be. Abita went different path than traditional IPA , not sure if it was intended.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Poured amber with a slight white head. Aroma is really slight on the hops. A bit citric over a decent malt backbone, finishes clean. One of the better offerings from Abita. Metalhead (571), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Light amber pour. Aroma of sweetness and citrus. Taste was decent in the start and middle but finished too bitter with some dryness that made this NOT thirst quenching.. $8 a six. Skeegle (496), Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Light and drinkable, this IPA is good for a session IPA. It’s not aggressively hoppy and can feel like a pale ale, but it does have that nice citrus backbone that I love so much. No pine at all, which is welcomed by me, but it also serves to draw the beer down on bitterness. wheelz843 (211), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Great malt character balanced out well with the hops. Abita makes a great beer and this one represents their brewery very well and shows that we can expect a lot out of them in the near future.
