Commercial Description:
The newest Abita brew takes its name and inspiration from the Mardi Gras Indians of New Orleans. Looking for Indians on Mardi Gras Day is a tradition for many New Orleans families. A cultural phenomenon familiar to residents of the Crescent City, the Mardi Gras Indians are not well known to outsiders and Abita is proud to help share their story with the world.

Six pack from the Kroger on Lamar. Pale pour. Just a hint of hops in the aroma. Taste is a little malt with an okay amount of hops.

Nice! a Light copper color with an off white head that stays through out the beer. Nice hop and malt aroma. Nice light hops taste and better than average mouthfeel. Nice bittering too! Not a bad beer for a session! The dog liked it too! But she’s a Pup, what does she know!

Draft at d.b.a. New Orleans. Pours a clear amber with some haze and a small white head. Aroma: hops, alcohol, malt, fruit, pine, and floral notes. Flavor: hops, fruit, grass, malt, light alcohol. Light body, and bitter and sweet upon the finish. Pretty average IPA, nothing memorable.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy typically carbonated light golden brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was malty and mild floral. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of hops and caramel. I was let down by the aroma otherwise it was very good. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Pours light orange, slightly hazy, with white head. Nose is rather clean with light citrus. Not very aromatic. On the palate this beer is surprisingly thin bodied and weak in flavour. Almost... watery. Light hops, faint malt, no real character. And then it finishes with almost no taste at all. Again, watery. Immensely disappointing.

An overall good beer. I do not have anything special to and since I find this beer "regular" IPA.

This is an IPA? A golden brown beer with a 2 finger head. The aroma was sweet. The taste is sweet bready malt. Why do the stores in my town take up shelf space with these TERRIBLE ABITA beers? Once again Abita failed to deliver.
