Nice slightly hazy copper coloured body with a perfect tan head. Aroma of fresh grassy & light citrus hops, caramel, malt and lemons. Medium-bodied; Sharp hoppy assertiveness up front fading to a very mild malt backbone and a tiny amount of sugars show well. Aftertaste remains mild - a bit of sugar, some nuts and a light twang of the hops - not much though! Overall, an ’okay’ IPA, much more mild than i’d expect, and typically good for someone who likes APAs instead. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 08-July-2008.

Nov 27, 2008 Bought a sixer at zydeco voodoo on Canal St. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly suprised. Deep hop aroma with some faint sweetness. The taste was of a floral hops with a nice malt backbone. A very straitforward ipa. Textbook if you may.

Nov 26, 2008 To me this one is on par with most ipa’s i’ve had. Maybe a little weaker on the hops than some but I kinda prefer it like that.

Nov 20, 2008 Poured a copper color with a hint of fruit and hops. Not quite as hoppy as most IPAs I prefer - came off more as a pale ale to me. Not the best IPA I have had but certainly not the worst.

Nov 20, 2008 Draft. Copper pour with a frothy off-white head. Definitely pine on the nose. Based on the smell I was expecting something more astringent, but this beer had a nice sweet tone for an IPA. Good solid hoppy finish.

Nov 20, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head that dissipates to a small cap quckly and leaves a bit of lacing.
The aroma is very well balanced with some earthy hops, definitely grassy, with some generous caramel malts.
The taste lacked a bit for me as the hops are present but not nearly as well balanced with the malts as the nose would suggest. There is a fairly unpleasant bitterness that lingers through the finish.
The mouthfeel is fairly light with lots of carbonation.
This is an average IPA that just doesn’t quite deliver in the taste department. One and done for me on this one.
