It’s pretty obvious that they use the same base recipe for all their fruit beers. Smells of pecan pie. Tastes of pecans. Not as artificial tasting as their other fruit beers I’ve tried. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Clear amber with an off white head. Good aroma of roasted and blackened pecans here like a pecan pie. Light/medium body. Basic amber ale caramel malty sweet flavors with a hint of pecans. An easy drinking smooth sessionable brew here like most Abitas. 9287 BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 6, 2008 This was really light and tame. Not nearly as pronounced as I thought it would be. I expected a more brazen and bold nut brown style beer. This had a decent amount of maltiness, still much lighter on the palate than I would have liked. The nuttiness is definitely an afterthought. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Poured into a pint glass. Nice golden brown color. Semi-transparent light a light brown ale. Nice thick head which lingered a good bit. Aroma is VERY light. Can pick up the hint of something nutty, but far from overpowering. Very bland and malty palate. Light carbonation and lack of any real flavor makes it easy to go down, I’m just not in a rush to do so. You can taste the Pecans if you’re looking for them, but I expected them to be much more pronounced. OK, don’t go out of your way for this one. Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA

Could not identify the nutty flavor, Not as great as i thought I twould be. Pretty avg beer, and lighter then I expexted, Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Pours a deep copper- light amber with a thin film of a head and slight lace. Aroma is nutty and toasty upfront with a light herbal hoppiness- reminds me of somethign that saranac would make- also some light butter on toast. More toasty malts, very thin flavor and mouthfeel- carbonation is milkd, but foams up a bit in the mouth- has a grassy then earthy finish. Overall- very light, and nothing really much going on here. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Bottle. Very small tan head that was mostly lasting, spotty amounts of lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and an orange hue. Nose was pecans, caramel, and malt. Ditto for the flavor, but I didn’t detect any real pecan taste. Smooth mouthfeel and medium body. Lacks aroma and flavor and the flavor just wasn’t anything to write home about. Not one that I will want again.
