Commercial Description:
It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. It’s wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no suprise it’s great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

12 oz bot....slightly cloudy amber...beige head, that says I’ll see you later....sweet malty aroma, pecans barely show through, more of just general nuts....taste is more mocha than pecan...body is average to watery...the pecans had too much water added to them...a touch of lacing...... I had this beer with pecan pie, and well the pie showed up the beer, no compliments, how sad

Clear, dark amber body. Short, off-white head. The nose is grainy and biscuity with notes of caramel and nut. The flavor is moderately sweet and mildly bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, slightly sticky, with a mildly bitter and dry finish.

Bottle.Very smooth beer. Light tan head that doesn’t last too long. Captures the pecan flavor tremendiously. Very nutty flavor, with all the bitterness of a pecan.

The bottle poured clear copper color with soft tan head. The aroma is heavily malted with mild. Dry with nice pecan bitterness, but I didn’t get much pecan flavor. Not bad as a whole though.

Pours a beautiful amber with a thin quickly dissipating head. Flavor appears to have a nuttiness but of burnt nuts. Aftertaste is terrible. BLAH!

Amber color with a nice head but it goes quickly. Malty and spiced it feels like it is trying to do something but really ends up not coming up with much at all in the taste area. Very clear.

Both bottle and tap available here. Delicious pecan flavor, not too sweet but very nutty. One of the better seasonals from Abita.

12oz Bottle: Amber body w/ a small off-white head. Sweet malty aroma & a sweet malty flavor to go w/ it. Slightly bitter finish. Not much going on, nothing more to say here.
