Commercial Description:
It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. It’s wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no suprise it’s great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

Bottle pours hazy amber with thin quick diminishing off white head. Aroma is nutty sweet malt. First taste is sweet but very well balanced. The nuts come through in the finish but very mild. Like an amber nut ale or really light brown ale. Not true to the style but I really like this one.

Both bottle and tap available here. Delicious pecan flavor, not too sweet but very nutty. One of the better seasonals from Abita.

From a 12 oz bottle. Definitely a "nutty" taste, with an added bit of sweetness. A nice mix of malt and hops, a great seasonal beer.

Not a strong aroma to me. Looks nice. This is pretty good. Nutty and malty up front witha bit of bite in the finish. Just seems to be too light. The flavor would be better if it were more pronounced.

Poured a pretty clear coppery amber with a thin white head. It seems to have pretty low carbonation. It smells wonderful--very nutty and a little fruity. It feels medium-bodied and it’s flavor is just as wonderful at the smell! You can really taste the pecan and it finishes very smoothly. This brew really offers an enjoyable experience--I’ll definitely buy this one again and I highly recommend other to try it.

Nutty aroma, Strong nut taste. Actually tastes and feels more like a brown ale than an amber ale. One of the best aftertastes I’ve experienced in a beer. Thoroughly enjoyed this

my favorite Abita brew. Nutty, roasty aroma and flavor. Nice bitter dry mouthfeel that you get from eating pecans present in the beer.

Nice light amber appearance with the pecans (not pronounced like pee-can) coming through just a little on the nose. The flavor is nice and malty with the Pecan flavor coming through really well. Hop bittering is low as is the hop aroma. This beer had a really nice mouthfeel, I gave it a 4 on that account. Overall this is an enjoyable and versitile brew, one I’ll be having for a long time to come. As for Abita, this one rivals the Turbodog.
