Commercial Description:
It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. It’s wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no suprise it’s great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours clear amber with orange hue’s, off-white head. Aroma is of malt, pecan,. Flavor is malty with the flavor much the same as the after taste of a pecan, also has a Oktoberfest zest to it. Mouthfeel is light-med. with high carbonation....Over all, not a bad beer!

Peachy orange color with a thin greyish head that settles to a ring. Aroma is slight caramel, maple syrup, pecan nuts, sweet malt. Taste is light on everything but some caramel, roasted nuts, and maple syrup.

Tallahassee, Fl. - World Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, little to no head. Hard to pick up any aroma - when one is found - reminiscent of smelly feet. Flavor has some brief nuttiness, would not know they were pecans if it was not on the label. Hint of maple syrup sweetness, but otherwise - a whole lot of nothingness. Mouthfeel, rather thin. Bought a whole six of this....will be in the fridge for a while!

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of nuts, light malts, and water. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, dense, off-white head that diminished over time. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of malts, nuts, vegetables, and corn. Light to medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Nutty, vegetal finish. Pretty darn gross.

Pours with a decent sized, off-white head. Clear light brown body. Head diminishes but leeaves some light lacicng. Aroma of pecans and other nuts with some light cereal. Extremeely watery taste with some nuts...Could have been a lot better. Kind of a mix of astringent malts. Fizzy and dry.
