| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Copper in color with a nice white head... Aroma of sticky sweet caramel malt, expecting hoppiness that is non existant... Initial hit of the same caramel that mellows into a nice slightly malty nutty amber ale that thins at the end... A touch hoppy at the very end... You can not call a beer a harvest ale if it has no discernable hoppiness at the front...

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Aroma of almonds more than pecans, but you can smell the nuts definitely. Flavor is very muted, mostly watery and not really flavors of pecans at all. Finish was ok. Session beer only. ttutony (98), Texas, USA

Aroma of amber malts... Flavor nutty. Not overly nutty, just enough to taste it. Very light body, very close to water gravity. Lightly bitter finish. lowgun1212 (87), Montclair, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2009 a clear sunny amber with a head disappearing as quick as it came. Smells of sweet honey and nuts, touch of orange, and lemon-lime hop. a very light pecan flavor, a light honey sweetnes, a light bitterness, and not much else. Pleasant flavor but feels like its missing a core. body is light/watery. Ernest (4513), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium amber.
Aroma is moderately malty (roasted nuts, toasted grain/bread, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, apricot), with notes of honey and soap.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Very watery, thin, and somewhat rough in the mouth, but there are some aspects in the aroma that aren’t too bad. Very good for an Abita product. tokyogoat (576), San Diego, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Pours ruby red with a lacy head and decent bubbles. Aroma is nutty and malty. flavor is sweet and buttery, almost more of a nut brown, probably because of the pecans which makes this one different. . zdk (269), New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2009 pours a nice amber with pretty good head retention. Really smooth, big caramel malt flavor. Aroma is vaguely of nuts, but nothing i can identify as specifically pecan. Mouthfeel is oily... perhaps from the nut oils? Finishes a bit astringent which makes the finish a bit less than satisfying. Really close to being a great beer.
