May 24, 2008 Bottle from World Market in Fairfield, CA. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a hint of raspberry aroma. Reminded me of a wheat beer with just a hint of fruit flavor. Light bodied beer that went down smooth and I would drink it again.

May 22, 2008 Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Very fruity raspberry juice aroma, soft dry wheat flavor. Fairly watery, but it’s a summer beer and built to be easy drinking. Nothing unique, just fruit syrup flavor, but just an easy drinking hot weather brew.

May 18, 2008 Had this in New Orleans 11/2005, not being one for sweet fruit beers, this wasn’t so bad. Pours a hazey orangeish colour with a very lively raspberry fruit aroma. Lightly carbonated mouthfeel, hints of floral and clove reminiscent aromas. I taste plenty of wheat and raspberries. Decent, but a little too rich for my taste.

May 14, 2008 Pours a cloudy caramel color, with little head. Aroma is barely there. Flavor is light, slighly wheaty. A little raspberry taste, but not much. Good and smooth. Not great, but drinkable.

May 12, 2008 Cream soda colored, 1 inch off-white head. Raspberry cream aroma. Light fizzy raspberry cream and barley malt taste along with clean water. Light fizzy mouthfeel. Smooth finish. Raspberry seed aftertaste. Pretty damn good beer.

May 11, 2008 Compared to quite a few fruit beers, this one is a bit toned down. It was reminiscent to me of 21st Amendmant’s Watermelon Wheat, which is not high praise. Purple Haze is distinctly fruity, although I didn’t know it was raspberry flavored until I read the label. However, because the fruit is not overpowering, it exposes the lack of interestingness in the underlying "host beer." Body of the beer is surprisingly, not purple. Not much head, and some fruitiness in the aroma. Flavor didn’t offer much; not decisively fruity nor wheat-beer like. All in all, a bit of a disappointment.
I would not recommend this beer.
