Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Smells of coriander and ginger. Tastes spicy with a hint of tartness on the finish. Not typical of the style. FishManLA (284), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Jul 26, 2008 On tap at the Abita Brew Pub. Has been renamed "Abita Select Belgian Wit". Pale yellow/gold and just slightly cloudy. Didn’t have much head as served but I didn’t watch the pour. Nice lacing was left on the glass. Full, potent yeasty nose with floral and citrus notes. Taste of malt and citrus with some notes of sweeter fruit as well, like grapes. Tart and tangy finish. HonkeyBra (1275), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jul 19, 2008 Didn’t realize how rare this was when I ordered this at the Bourbon house on Bourbon street. The waitress told me it was "like Bud". Thankfully it didn’t suck that much, but really wasn’t anything special. It tasted like your run of the mill wit. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Select Wit

PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2005 Had on tap at J. Alexander’s in Baton Rouge. Pleasantly surprised to say the least. Pours a murky, yet bright golden with an everlasting white creamy head and thick sticky lacing. Brief, quick clean aroma of lemon and yeast. Flavor has some of the same qualities with some estery notes reminiscent of a Belgian Wit. (Originally had this rating listed under the Saison entry) Some yeasty notes round it out nicely. Very thick, creamy mouthfeel, made for a nice session filler for an after work happy hour. TheBeerGod (3143), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jul 11, 2005 Thanks go out to Mike of Bon Vivant for the bottle and Andrew of Abita for sending some to him. Pours clouded gold with a lasting foamy white head. Nose is grainy with light citrus and psice. Not bad! Taste is a Belgian Wit. Light spices, wheat, light yeast, light citrus and minimal hops. This is rather good. It could be because my AC is on the fritz and I needed something cold, light and refreshing, but this certainly fit the bill. Body is light, as stated, and very refreshing. Finishes with more light spice, mild hop profile, wheat, and yeast. Thinned fruitiness as well. Nice beer!
