bleeng (587), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA May 12, 2008 Updated: Jan 11, 2009On tap at the brewpup 4/3/08. Filtered, copper color, no head. Served very cold so the nose was minimal-this really brings the score down. Tastes of carbonation, bitterness, nice malt and rye balance. Very dry on the finish. This would be a nice summer quencher. Pleasant beer. FishManLA (284), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Apr 5, 2008 Served in a shaker on tap at the Abita Brew Pub. Almost no head. Clear copper/bronze color. Not a whole lot of aroma but a slight nose of malts with, perhaps, a hint of sweet fruit, like grapes. Flavor was clean and malty. The maltyness being interesting and complex, yet understated. A sweetness to the flavor as well, like a hint of sweet white wine. Understated malty finish that did not linger long. This was a tasty and refreshing brew to accompany my burger. I had two pints with my dinner.
