gnoff (2892), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 19, 2006 (50 cl bottle from Swedish Systembolaget) Weak malty, some old scent. Clear brown color, small tan head. Grainy smell. Sour malty taste, a bit buttery. Thin mouthfeel, high co2. Metallic. Boring and pointless. Shame on you Åbro!
Rune (1837), Tromsø, Norway Jan 29, 2008 500ml can from Systembolaget, Linköping. Beige, one-finger head over a deep mahogany body. Supported by the nice laceworks it was a very pretty spectacle. Hints of dark malt in aroma followed by a more sweet, roasted malty flavour. Diluted and rather lively carbonated - but the appearance was great (25.01.2008). Furseth (1175), Kungälv, Sweden Nov 29, 2007 Can: Deep red amber clear colour, with a nice cremay light brown head. Aroma was grainy, caramel, som chocolate, and malts some fruitynes is there to in the end. Flavor is almost the same, nice smouth caramel mouth feeling, but to thin for me in a christmas beer! Short malty dry bitter finish. ekstedt (2029), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 16, 2007 Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear deep copper with a medium beige head. Grainy malts with a clear roasted touch. Light to medium bodied with a bit spritzy carbonation. Decent balance with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Ruby red color, cloudy off-white head, lace. Metallic papery aroma. Malty, slightly toasted and also harsh flavor. Dry mouthfeel, not very typical Christmas beer, more like a bit maltier basic lager. oh6gdx (6413), Vaasa, Finland Dec 29, 2006 Bottled. Dark amberish brown colour, mediumsized fluffy head. Aroma is dark fruits, malts, and slight burnt sugar. Flavour is metallic, dark fruits and malts. Could do with food, but "as is" its not something you can enjoy separately.
