Commercial Description:
Ace Pear is made from a base of 100% pure, local apple juice. Pear essence is added to give the cider its distinctive pear taste; a taste so fresh and natural it is already proving as popular as its more traditional apple counterpart.

Bottle. Had this as a dare. Pours 100% clear water with a thin stream of bubbles. Could be mistaken for a glass of water. Aroma is vinegar, apple juice from concentrate. Taste is artificial pear, apple juice, sugar added. Could be served at Thanksgiving to all of the children with no problem. I think Welch’s sparkling grape juice has more alcohol.

Clear white pour, no head or lace. Winy pear aroma. Sweet winy flavor, pleasant Jolly Rancher candy flavor. Sugary sweetness with a hint of green apple and some vanilla. Nice winy flavor, good.

12oz bottle into a flute. The color of this pour is barely even a color - it’s like barely yellow and super clear. The aroma is big sour green apple loaded with tons of pear peel. The flavor is sweet residual sugar mixed with pear, sour apple, and a fair amount of cream. This is decent stuff.

Pours a pale yellow, champagne like, very lively... Fruity nose with notes of pear, apple, peach, not sweet nor tart... Mildly vinous flavor again pear peach and apple slightly sweet.. Thinnish mouthfeel, sweetish finish... Average, certainly not the worst, not the best...

Draft. Sparkling, almost clear pour. Candy sweet, apples, pears and sugar. Absolutely no complexity, just sweet candy goodness, which I was apparently craving when I rated this because it really hit the spot.

Pours a translucent pale gold colour with no head. Appearance is similar to Welch’s white grape juice. Aroma of pear concentrate, and white wine.  Flavor of pear concentrate and pear juice. Has a sparkling cider quality, a weird aftertaste and a watery, diluted flavoring. Tasted wretched so I passed it on to the rater below aka ’The Dork’. He liked it only slightly better.

On draft at Rattle n Hum. Shared with the lovely Dorkette. Pours a clear light liquid white gold with no head. Aroma of pear concentrate and vinous pear notes. Taste of sparkling pear concentrate and sour vinous pear and grape flavors.
