Draught at the monastery’s cafeteria. Hazy dark brown colour. Very small light brown head. OK roasted flavour, quite mild. Slightly citric finish, probably from the grain.

Draft at brewery. A little hazy light brown colored beer, with a nice foamy head. The aroma of caramel malts, some hops and fruity. The taste of caramel, some hop, fruitd like raisin and some hay. A thin beer, in comparising, to the bottle, but a nice beer.

Clear chestnut body, with a fine off white head; Very little fine aroma; Very ordinary simple but refreshing body with a special fine carbonation; Medium long finish with actually a little hop apparent. The finish is the only interesting part of this beer, the rest is simply to boring. No wonder most people where drinking it with a red syrup.

(Draught at the monastery) Sold as Bruin. On March 22, 2008. Shady reddish to dark brown color, tan head. Fresh hoppy and grainy scent, a bit acidic taste, roasted and bitter aftertaste. A bit spritzy mouthfeel. Rather high bitterness.
