bb 07/06 Carbonated fizzy copper orange with nice retention of an off white finger of sticky clingy head. Few large floaties slipped in and dance among the carbonation. Strong spicy nose, hints of hops and alcohol. Yeasty and bready. Visible carbonation makes a smooth sipper but doesn’t prickly the tongue. Biscuit malts and a nice yeasty character lingers while this mellow Belgian spiciness finishes with a small alcohol bite and typical mustiness.

Extra foamy and bubbling out when cap is popped. Stupidly huge head, lasting through. LIght bready notes to smell, light fruits, green apples, apricots, and a distant clovey spiceyness. Cloved spiced body with a peppery twang, and a smoothed out palate. There are touches of souring notes that are there, but for some reason dont come out. I liked the flavor, but it seemed liked it fell a little flat. Despite being enjoyable, this brew seemed to have the stuff to be poised for a breakthrough to the next level of greatness, but didn’t excell in any area, too bad. That said, still a worthy brew, and worth a revisit for sure.

330 ml bottle. Golden color, expansive white head. Bright floral hop aroma, fresh sweet malts. Herbal hop flavor, with some banana and a touch of alcohol. Quite nice.

bottle. an excellent trappist blond. pours a dark golden with a huge fluffy white head. aromas of citrus and yeast. huge full body over the palate with the Belgian yeast and citrus notes dominating the tongue. Bottled 33cl. It pours a beautiful hazy orange beer with a huge rocky off white head with a good retention. Nice lacework. The nose is mainly of melon. Extremely strong. Woody, citrusy with hints of grapes, coriander and earthy hops. Lovely. Similar to some great tripels. Outstanding spritzy mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. The alcohol is balanced by a good bitterness. Very faintly metallic. Salty. Some tarragon sneaking in. Bready. Wonderfully peppery. This beer reminds me a bit of Orval. Some woody components. Lemon peel showing up. Perfectly balanced. Full bodied and bursting with flavors. The finish is of vanilla, candy and lemon peel accompanied by a slight hint of licorice and a huge bitterness. Rather bitter indeed.

Clear golden with dissipating white head. Sweet Belgian-yeast fruity malty aroma. A bit spicy flavorwise, but relatively light --malty and fruity.

Bottle from monopoly outlet, Oslo. Pours semiclear honeycoloured with large white frothy head. Huge malty honey aroma, reminds me of the courtyards at scottish whisky distilleries. rather sweet caramel and honey taste like Innis & Gunn. Long and sweetfinish. A great beer, but not my kind of style.
