Hazy golden beer with nice off-white head. Noticeable sediment Spicy and fruity aroma that matches the flavor. Very good blond.

This beer hits clean and refreshing while being full flavoured right on the nail. So easy to drink that anybody could enjoy it, yet flavorful enough to where those who appreciate good beer can be impressed. Slight apple tones with a great creamyness.

Slight hop aroma with belgian yeast. Slight citrus. Easy drinking, a little bitter. Pretty damn good. Huge head.

Head is white, and the nose is just full of hops. This is oine really delicious ale that is just full of hops.

Gul ufilreret øl med meget højt flot hvidt skum. Duften er ?. Smagen er tung og sødlig, men alligvel frisk og frugtig. Varm øl, som ikke er så klosteagtig - minder meget om leffe blond, dog stærkere og med mere krydret.

33cl bottle from devino. pours a only-slightly cloudy gold, vigorous carbonation and bright white head. aroma is apples, some higher alcohols, peach. medium-bodied, flavor is caramel, apple, some booze, and then a very dry finish with noticable alcohol. the spicy/boozy finish is actually quite nice. a very enjoyable trappist, if not one of the best.

Original rating on 05/07/2007 updated on 07/04/2008. Hazy golden body with a large rocky white head. Sweet fruity and yeasty aroma with tons of candi sugar and caramelization. Sweet fruity sugary flavor with some light yeast, more caramelization and a bit of candi sugar. Medium body with fairly high carbonation.

Bottled in 01-04. Pours a cloudy, pale orange color with enermous chunks of sediment and a fizzy, short-lived, white head which leaves sporatic lacing. Nose is heavily yeast and sweet with dominant pear notes. Other smaller notes of banana, caramel, clove, apple, and faint peach. Flavor is similar with more sweetness than I would have thought from the style. Still heavily yeasty with pear notes and caramel background but also light citrus notes of lemon zest. Apple and banana still round out the flavors. Palate is good with a moderate body, a soft, lightly creamy, somewhat round feeling, and a moderately lively carbonation. Finishes with slight bitterness and a moderate dryness with earth (almost like a wet bark), pear, and yes, yeast. Not your run-of-the-mill Strong Belgian Blonde but decently done. Yeasty character is a bit overdone and lacking in hop qualities and spicing. Overall, a nice change of pace to the style and highly drinkable, just not really intriguing or exceptional.
