Oct 8, 2009 Bottle. A gusher! Pours golden orange with a fluffy white head that lasts till the end. Aroma is quite yeasty with notes of honey, cinnamon, banana and apples. Flavour is similar with additional hints of pear, lemon, ginger and a little bit of malt. Medium body with lively carbonation, this is a particularly refreshing belgian ale. It might not be the best of the trappist blondes, but it’s a damn fine beer in its own right.

Sep 26, 2009 Clear and golden with a beautifully thick white head. Aroma of yeast, pepper,clove and fruit. Very lively carbonation medium bodied and creamy. Bitterness in the flavor of fruit, yeast, candy sugar and plums. Overall a nice golden Belgian.

Sep 23, 2009 Updated: Sep 24, 2009Bottle from Sam’s. Pours clear deep gold, but nice cloudy bits at the bottom make for a hazy pour. Big foamy, gauzy white head (two-finger) that recedes into a lasting cover with good retention. Aroma of overripe bananas, Belgian sugar, some earthy yeast, mild cinnamon and caramel. Similar taste, with added rotten apple notes (in a good way). Tasty.

Sep 22, 2009 Creamy, average, off white head. Good lacing. Cloudy thick bdy, with huge particles, which float in the head, like coffee with sprinkled cinnamon. Aroma: caramel, cinnamon and raisin. IF: light sweetness and bitterness. FF: light sweetness and moderate bitterness. Average duration. Palate: medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation and metallic and light alcoholic finish. Alcoholic warming, does not cover the ABV, presence of clove in the end of the palate. Average presence of alcohol during the gulp. 40s

Sep 21, 2009 Bottle poured a clear gold with a large lasting off white head. Aromas of banana, pear, yeast, spice and light straw. palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, pear, banana and spice with a smooth dry lingering fruity finish.

Sep 17, 2009 Golden colored brew. Sweet, yeasty aroma. Flavor is fruity, oranges, citrus. Yeasty and some spices. The yeast adds a nice flavor, but the fruits kill it. Overall enjoyable, but could be much better.
