Jan 2, 2007 Orange golden yellow coloured with a large white head, and some carbonation. Very fruity, herby aroma, with alcoholic roasted yeasty touches. Full body. Finish is bitter, alcoholic yeasty. with a long ending. Excellent brew.

Dec 31, 2006 I had a bottle that poured a super fluffy head with a golden cloudy body. The first mouth full exploxed with flavor. This is a very enjoyable sipping beer.

Dec 29, 2006 Cloudy in the glass with a reasonable fluffy head. Honey and banana in the nose. Flavour is dry and hoppy with some metallic citrus flavours that remind me of acid drops. A slight spicey undertone. The alcohol is prominent in the aftertaste. I had this bottle for a few months and was really looking forward to it. Not the best Trappist, feels like its still finding its idenitiy, I understand they’ve only gone back into production fairly recently, but a good beer.

Dec 28, 2006 Updated: Mar 4, 2007(Bottle) Pours light amber. Big white head. Fruity, malty, a bit spicy aroma with hints of metal, corn, pears, bananas and apple tobacco. Small undertones of allmond paste. Well carbonated, fruity, champagne-ish flavour with some sugar peas, pears and minerals. Short and pretty dry finish.

Dec 27, 2006 Enormous offwhite head over orange body. Delicate aroma of stale hops, metal, and tropical fruit. Taste is powerful tropical fruit overlaid with metallic, stale hops and spice. Dry, astringent spice aftertaste. Very difficult to characterize, and quite complex. Very unusual, but nice, with lots of character. (0.33l bottle.)

Dec 26, 2006 Bottled. Golden, slightly cloudy colour with huge creamy head. Aroma is citrusfruit, spices, caramel, alcohol and dough. Flavour is spices, wheat, slight alcohol and dough. Gets better while you drink and it gets a bit warmer. When warmer, it "smoothens" up abit. Pleasant.

Dec 25, 2006 11.2oz bottle pours golden quite cloudy with a nice short creamy offwhite head and lots of floaties. Aromas of yeast, spice, a touch of caramel, and lots of dough. Flavor is spicy with lots of yeast, a little bannana, pear, and some slight candi sugar. Palate is airy and fairly light. Sweet throughout.. Not bad..
