| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 29, 2006 Cloudy in the glass with a reasonable fluffy head. Honey and banana in the nose. Flavour is dry and hoppy with some metallic citrus flavours that remind me of acid drops. A slight spicey undertone. The alcohol is prominent in the aftertaste. I had this bottle for a few months and was really looking forward to it. Not the best Trappist, feels like its still finding its idenitiy, I understand they’ve only gone back into production fairly recently, but a good beer. Marsiblursi (1649), Göteborg, Sweden

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2006 Enormous offwhite head over orange body. Delicate aroma of stale hops, metal, and tropical fruit. Taste is powerful tropical fruit overlaid with metallic, stale hops and spice. Dry, astringent spice aftertaste. Very difficult to characterize, and quite complex. Very unusual, but nice, with lots of character. (0.33l bottle.) oh6gdx (8967), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is citrusfruit, spices, caramel, alcohol and dough. Flavour is spices, wheat, slight alcohol and dough. Gets better while you drink and it gets a bit warmer. When warmer, it "smoothens" up abit. Pleasant. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
