Champagne like pour! Colossal just off-white pillowy cap and some of the best lacing I’ve ever seen. Bright cloudy orange gold with some silt-like sediment inching it’s way to the bottom of the glass. Aroma is pretty standard - lots of yeast, spicy hops, ample alcohol and some fruitiness. Flavour is extra good because I’m not getting hammered by the harshness. Complex and sort of soft, slight sourness, noticable ammount of malts, maybe licorice - but a ton of spices, wheat and sugary candy (probally the red ones). I’m not huge on this style, but I’m really enjoying this! Endless lacing and a permanent head. Medium bodied with a soft feel. Man, I’m liking this....The sharp bitterness fades and the malts take over. Sweet too. Breathe in the alcohol... Better than I assumed.

Bottle. Hazy amber, brown sediment making it’s way around, medium off-white head. Sweet aroma, bubble-gum notes, yeast, spices. Again, very sweet notes of bubblegum, spices, yeast and some vague fruit notes. Nice finish, smooth.

This beer pours a pretty standard looking opaque honey brown with massive cloudy white head, but when held up to the light it seems to glow a burnt orange color that look amazing. The sent is yeast, sweet and smooth but very hard to pick up, and there is something ells in the aroma what I can’t figure out and it’s really turning me off this beer. Taste isn’t working for me either I can really taste the alcohol, what hinders the usual wheaty malt and yeast flavors. There is a touch of banana and spice in the flavor when you can manage to block out the high alcohol taste in this brew. Even the feel is a bit thin for the style and a bit to prickly tongue. There is a very sharp bitter after taste that seems to come out of nowhere. This is like a lot of other Belgian blonds but is way harsher and not easy drinking, not really a beer you should go out of your way for that’s for sure.

Bottle... Poured golden with a thick white head, nice retention. Spiced, billowy and bready aroma. Cloves and estery flavors with a strong spiced quality to the brew. A little vegetable and citrus notes towards the finish.

Bottle at La Trappe in SF. Hazy golden-yellow color with a lasting white head. Aroma of light fruits and sweet pale malt. Flavor of pale malt, spices, yeast, sour apple and citrus, and floral hops. Dry finish, crisp palate.

Beautiful stuff. Woah I’d love to try and attempt to drink 10 of these in a sitting. The spicy, flowery palate makes you think of Springtime in paradise and all that chick senseibilties with each sip.
But Being a macho guy ,ovbiously I swilled this fast . Fruit like apple and banana ester from the big ,powerful yeast character. Zesty or some shit. ! Classic.
