rauchbier (2874), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Apr 9, 2003 Bottle conditioned. Straw gold, thin white head and good condition. Some unavoidable yeast floaters and a layer of very pale yeast at the bottle bottom. Grainy duvel like perfumed nose with hints of alcohol yeast and coconut. Bread and grain flavours in the mouth with some yeastiness and a suggestion of malted milk. Finish was soft and mouthfillingly sweet. Prefered it to Westmalle tripel.

The_Epeeist (976), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 11.2 oz bottle. Cloudy orange brwn with a puffy white head. Nose is yeast, dough and a touch of lemon. Bright, bubbly and crisp. Taste is lemon and banana with a lime zest finish. A nice Blond with a hint of honey. swooper (94), Kladno, Czech Republic Oct 5, 2008 alcohol, bread, hazy, golden, frothy, white wonderfull foam, medium bitterness, light sweetness, fizzy, lively, full body, astringent, Borup (996), Albertslund, Denmark Oct 3, 2008 Bottle. Golden colour with a fine off-white head. Aroma and flavour of hops, malt, herbal and spice. freekyp (816), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Oct 1, 2008 This beer has a unique quality of being aggressive, but still being mellow at the same time. Aroma is yeasty with a sweet honey tone, as is the flavor. Malt dominant, there is just enough hop bitterness to keep the sweetness from getting to be too much. Nice black pepper notes show up in the latter part of the swallow. Carbonation is spritzy. An amazing looking beer, the head on this thing rose a full inch above the rim of my Belgian goblet, and stayed there for a good five minutes. Pours cloudy maize with a lot of floating yeast chunks. The alcohol is present but not intrusive.
