Nice brown amber colour. White head. Raisins and malt in the nose. Soft and lightly hopped. Not too sweat. Small bottle enjoyed in Kaisla.

Superb -- a proper ale indeed. Choose/buy/drink it without any hesitation whatsoever.

Smellls like candied fruit and alchohol. Taste knocks it out of the park. Sweet maltiness, clean yeast, low ibu hoppines. On the sweet end of the spectrum but well balanced.

Bottled: Aroma with notes of cacao, chocolate and candies. Hazy brown color, off-white head. Flavor of sweet dark chocolate, roasted malt and candies. Hints of alcohol in the end, few hints of roasted malt. Harmonic beer.

Pour is a dark brown with a foamy light brown head that lasted forever. Malt, spice, and dates/prune to the nose. Flavor is intense and complex, made up of the same characteristics. THis one definitely becomes easier to appreciate as it warms.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a creamy lasting white head & lacings. Aroma & taste is of malts, rye-bread, spices, caramel, yeast & dark fruits. Body is filling & soft/smooth. Long end!

11.2 oz bottle. Poured a cedar brown, with a foamy light brown head. Slight yeasty malty nose. Served way too cold, and at first flavors were very slight. Lots of carbonation and a very similar look and feel to a rochefort 8, although the comparisons kind of end there. This is a very good beer, with complex flavors but I find it to be in the lower rung of the upper echelon of this style. As it warmed, the true flavors became apparent. There is a very smooth and dry finish to this beer, in contrast to its sweeter relatives.

pours dark brown with light brown head. Aromas of yeast and malts. Malty flavor with some dark fruits. Medium body with average carbonation. Average BSA. This is nowhere near as good as theirExtra Bruin.
