Bottle.. beautiful red color, wonderful aroma, and a big fluffy head. Almost the perfect beer for my taste.

0.33 l bottle. Red color with big fluffy head. Strong tart fruity and phenolic aroma with dull dark malt, raisins, figs and bubblegum. Tart, bready and yeasty flavor with raisins, plum and dry musty woodyness. Very highly carbonated. Quite dunkel weizen-like. Spicy yeast and dark malt does not mix well in this beer.

Bottle. Huge fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted. Clear sparkling body with a brown colour. Good lacing. Notes of caramel, pruns, raisin, liquorish, brown sugar. The tasting was not pleasurable as heavy sour notes killed the experience. From what I could tell it was medium bodied. Heavy sour flavour with some sweetness. Think it was infected. Bottle. Dark amber with a impressing white head. Aroma of caramel and sweet malt.Fruit but not as much as in the Achel 8 blond. The body is medium to full with a certain roundness to it. Can’t describe it better, sorry. A very good Belgian brown.

Bottle from Kingdom Liquors Brandon, Fl. Pours a clear amber with a very large light tan head that is coming out of the glass and leaves great lacing and is comparable to a Chouffe Houblon pour. Aroma of sweet malt, sweet caramel, aromatic malt, and light notes of dark fruit and yeast spice. Taste is very fresh sweet malt with wonderfull notes of caramel, yeast spice, and dark fruit. Medium mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation that finishes dry. An under rated wonderfull Trappist brew.

Pours deep red, fruity aroma and flavors. Another excellent trappist ale.

Curiously thin pour, the hue of flattened root beer with head to match. Nutmeg and strawberry aromas lead. Bourbon soaked toffee cake and espresso miel open up with warmth. Slick fruity candies, loud and annoying, are overpowering even while slightly chilled. Patience yields the rich harvest. Cocoa and pepper laced California red, cedar woods and a wisp of light pipe smoke. Soured honey and peat survive swallowing. Palate is slightly mineral and sandy, with fleeting champagne suggestions. A bastard cousin of the great Belgian showstoppers, yet a fine performer in its right.
