| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Pours a nice burnt amber with a huge rocky light brown head. The nose is that of banana bread with a nice nutty character. Also a little bit of earthiness. The flavor is highly carbonated with a nice roasted character and the banana bread comes through the finish with a nice floral hop finish. BDR (2168), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 27, 2007 A dark nutty brown with a creamy foam head. Wonderful banana aroma. The flavor is like a good home made banan bread with just a little hint. A little later I detected hints of carob as well. Very blanaced but a quickly faiding tail. Loved this beer. robinvboyer (1443), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 24, 2007 330ml bottle at The BrewPub in Copenhagen. The ale turned out to be a nice partner to Danish Sheep’s cheese served in the restaurant section. Copper body under a huge, beige head. Sweet fruity aroma. Light caramel taste offset by yeastiness in the finish. Fizzy and moderate mouthfeel (13.01.2007). nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 19, 2007 The aroma has caramel, yeast, alcohol, and brown sugar. The appearance is red/brown with a really big head. The flavor is like the aroma with lots of sweet sugar and plenty of bitterness. The palate is thin. Overall it’s good. detroitsteel (233), Greater London, England
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 17, 2007 A very strong head, well carbonated. Malt & chocolate sweetness balanced by a cirtic fruitiness. Alcohol in the finish, but not unpleasent. Better than their blond 8, in my (worthless) opinion. Lighter than other dark Trappists and satisfing.
