(on bottle) Snowwhite head, light cpper in color. Abricot pineappl, very fruity and a tad funky. Seems a bit over the hill allready. The alcohol cut through very hard and the flat funkyness contiues to to irritatimg. Still, a steady pour though.

Bottle, 2001 vintage tastning @ Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. Head was average with a white frothy look that mostly lasted. Color was light amber-orange, with a cloudy body. Fair lacing to be found. It was amazingly round and soft in mouthfeel, guessing that was coursed by the years that it had cellared. Never had this beer before, so I couldn’t quit tell how it tasted frees when it was still made. Aroma was almost molasses like with notes of yeasty, flowers, banana and bubble gum date, apple, smoke and light tobacco. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation, again properly coursed by the ageing. Flavor was light bitter and moderated sweet with a short dry finish. Quit and amazing experience, however there was not much Tripel style left behind in this 2001 vintage beer.

A rare bottle, big thanks to Lars Amby for sharing. Cloudy pale orange, golden cramy blanket head. Complex vineous, sherrylike and spiced nose. Light dusty and wooden on the palate. Well attenuated. Barrique retronasal.

Orange-yellow with off-white head. Hoippy aroma with notes of stone and alcohol. Sweet flavour with notes of honey and alcohol. Dry.

Bottle at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen, RBESG Pub Crawl, August 2005. Hazy orange colour. Lots of candi sugar and grainy malt in the aroma. More hops come through on the palate, with plenty of sharp, zesty orange/citric notes. Not really much depth there. I have to say I expected better. Needs more work.
