| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Holy Crap this is great. Pours dark murky brown with an amber tint with a rich tan head that has moderate retention. The aroma has a good amount of caramel malt that is quite doughy and rich with some Belgium-style earthy yeastiness along with some toffee. Medium / full body that has richness and a fair amount of frothy soft carbonation. The flavor starts with bready toffee, thick earthiness, brown sugar and figs. The finish gets a bit sharper in comparison to the initial taste with some sharp spice. This continues to change and evolve throughout the bottle. Thumbs vigorously up for this fantastic example of a Belgium quad. This could be my favorite of the style. Truly amazing. Maverick34 (729), New York, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 3, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Boboski: Poured a deep brown color ale with a huge foamy head with perfect retention. Aroma of cookie dough malt is just about perfect. Taste is also dominated by cookie dough malt with some nice sweet malt and a mild yeasty finish. Alcohol was well concealed with a nice full body. I thought this was somewhat reminiscent of Rochefort 10 but maybe a tad more light and not as complex but still very rewarding. SHIG (2051), Aviano, Italy

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Medium amber pour. Very large head, spilled out over the rim of my glass. Appears to be highly carbonated, with a cool sideways swirling effect in the glass, with some floaties. I haven’t been drinking too many Belgians lately (what the hell is my problem?). This stuff is a reminder of why I love them. Lots of yeast, fruity malts with a sweet, rich full body. Alcohol is well concealed. Sorry I can’t describe it any better, I just don’t feel like it. I just want to sit down and enjoy this brew. Terrific stuff. fonefan (11890), VestJylland, Denmark
