Easy drinkable with complex dried fruity flavors. This was the last beer at a local tasting party, so my memory of this beer is rather faint. Marked it "buyable". :) oh6gdx (9109), Vasa, Finland

Flavour is a meld of dark fruits, toffee, liquorice, choc and spice. Syrupy yet creamy full bodied feel. Great stuff. TURDFERGUSON (1608), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 22, 2005 Superb brown/ruby cloudy body topped with a thin but lasting beige foamy head. The beer exhales a lovely liquorous aroma dominated by sweetness and fruitiness (dark cherries, grapes, plums, apples, and some citrus). It also carries some subtle vanilla and chocolate notes. Taste is delightfully balanced. Texture is mild and oily, alcohol is well hidden, and finish is warm without being agressive. That wonderful Quadrupel from Achel is to beer what Porto is to wine.
