Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA BROWN ALE is creamy smooth after the style made famous in the north of England. It's toasty with hints of cherry and black currant. Acme Brown is brewed according to tradition with high dried and brown malt, and lightly finished with the Noble hops Tettnang and Hallertauer. The result is a very drinkable beer that can be enjoyed for an entire evening.

Bottle. Brown colour with tan head. Aroma is nutty and also hints of chocolate and caramel. Taste is malty and choclate. Hints of nuts and caramel in the taste too. Has a nice bitter aftertaste.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Reddish brown, hazy beer with a beige-coloured, collapsing head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. And the precise same characteristics are found in the flavour also containing notes of nuts and toffee. Rather light body and mainly dry with a light hoppy finish. A very accessible BA. 011005

Small light brown head, fair retention, little lace. Clear brown ale. Nose is nutty, lightly spicey with a hint of caramel. Body is med/light. Lightly sweet malt flavors, nutty, lightly grassy and buttery. An almost dry finish. Thanks DeGarth!

Semi-sweet brown ale. More fruits than nuts. Well-balanced taste and a clean palate. North Coast strikes again!

Slight hazy brown in colour with a short beige head.. Aroma is quite nutty, with a toffee background. Some grapefruit too. Flavour is quite similar, a blend of toffee and mild hops. Simple drinking session style beer.

Pours a deep amber with an average size tan head that went away quickly. Aroma of caramel and chocolate covered cherries. Flavor is caramel with some toffee and a nice hop bite at the end. A solid brown ale.

Bottle: Thin off white head. Brown with red and orange tint. Cloudy. Caramel and Chocolate aroma. Smells like candy. Taste is a little watered down. Mostly malty with very little hops. A decent dessert type beer.

Deep amber/brown colour. Aroma is nice and sweet with toffee and some acidic hops. Flavour is toasty and "toffeeish" decently balanced by a dryish bitter finish. This is far from the best I have tried from North Coast, but so far I am very impressed!
