Watery amber but with a resilient and rocky head that won’t quit. Huge and beautiful. Fruity. Hops are predominant. Nuttily acidic. Round teak.Flavors are fruity and yet slightly bland. Currants and cherries aside there isn’t much but, an abundance of hops and a watery nutty background. Excellent carbonation.

After weeks of basically only having pils, I am finally glad to be drinking real beer again. Beautiful color. Slightly sweet and fruity in the finish. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2004 2004 draught. Appears a drab brown with some dark yellow-amber tinges in it and a decent white head. Aroma has light toffee, nuts and some mildly spicy hops. Flavor is pretty hoppy and spicy, without much dryness. But that’s quite alright, as the sweet brown malts complement the hops well. Maybe a hint of vinousness, or at least some light fruit esters in there. Mouthfeel was excellent; lightly creamy, not overcarbonated and had a strong medium body. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 5, 2004 Decent light brown head. Frothy on top with ok lacing. Nice roasted grain arma with a bit of hop bitterness and a decent amount of malts. Color is a hazy dark copper. Slightly metallic. Roasted grains, bit of hops. Prety well balanced but a little thin in the flavor. Finish is roasty and dry. Little bit of bitterness. An ok brown ale but I have had much better. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic
