Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA BROWN ALE is creamy smooth after the style made famous in the north of England. It's toasty with hints of cherry and black currant. Acme Brown is brewed according to tradition with high dried and brown malt, and lightly finished with the Noble hops Tettnang and Hallertauer. The result is a very drinkable beer that can be enjoyed for an entire evening.

12 oz. bottle. Brown beer with a tan head. Aroma of sweet milk chocolate. Flavor is also sweet milk chocolate, caramel, and a little nutty. A light hoppy finish. Very drinkable and tasty. Enough abv to make it into a decent beer. A pretty good brown ale. Single purchased at Total Wine & More, Jacksonville FL. I could see buying a few more of these.

The aroma has a hoppish spicey character. The pour is brown with a nice tan head. A mild sweetness quickly gives way to the spiciness of the hops and a moderate bitter finish.

Bottled. Clear, amber/copper pour with a diminishing off-white head. Sweet caramel and lightly floral aroma. Creamy medium body with light carbonation. The flavor begins sweet caramel and nuts with a nutty, slightly bitter finish. Not bad, but not this brewer’s best work.

Bought @ Steilacoom Wine and Brew. This brown kind of pushes the envelope of a brown, pretty bold without much nuttiness... roasted malts, make it a full flavored brown. A good beer for winter...

A decent brown ale, went very well with my lunch, and was very easy to drink. Nice and dry on the palate with the hoppiness, and a sweet honey nut malt charateristic, finishes dry and roasty.

Dark brown cloudy brew. Tan medium head. Smells malty. Toasted flavors. Bit watery in the finish. A lille hoppierthan I expected but balanced nicely by the malt

This was horrible. A dark amber color with some bleach in the nose. This smelled off and tasted so as well. A rough mouthfeel with some nuttiness and caramel present. The aftertaste was watery and dry. Was this a bad bottle? Seems odd seeing how this has only been in the store for a week, gross!
