Same taste with crisp, subtle hops in the finish. Grainy brown sugar aftertaste. Medium, balanced body. Flavor lacks much depth, but what’s there is tasty. Nice session brew, could drink a ton of it. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

This is the yellowest brown ale I have ever had. it’s yellow w/ some hints of brown. it starts roasty and finishes a bit hoppy. it was ok. zach8270 (2140), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2006 (bottle - 12 oz) Clear, deep red pour with not much of a head to speak of. Sweet and nutty aroma with hints of caramel and malt. The flavor begins very sweet and nutty with a slightly tangy caramel followup and a nutty and bitter finish. Hops are detectable, but not overpowering. Very nice finish leaving only the tiniest hint of bitter. rauchbier (3004), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England

Chestnut, thin but sustained white head and gentle condition. Sweet caramel malt with background melanoidin notes in the nose. Pleasant sweet caramel maltiness in the mouth with a touch of nuttiness and a balancing hop biterness, low tingle of hop bitterness in the finish.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 11, 2006 In the bottle. Pours a lovely copper color with a white medium-sized head. Hard to pull an aroma out of this. Possibly a little bit toasted malt, but not much. Flavor is very mild. Medium body and easy to drink. Quite mild in the bittering hop category as well. Pleasant and harmless beer. HogTownHarry (4037), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Poured clear copper with a large creamy tan head. Aroma of light roast malt, cream, faint floral hops and nuttiness. Taste is more like an ESB with some added hops, fresh-cut cedar and lemon/orange juice, UK-style funky hops but vegetal on warming. Mouthfeel of funky astringent hops, slightly watery and not much carbonation - unusual, hoppier than most browns, a little sour though. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
