Very drinkable, but lacks the strenght of a good IPA. Borders on an amber ale in some aspects. Lots of head and carbonation. Capa (993), Yokosuka, Japan
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2009 Orange in color with a nice looking head. Aroma is grassy, pine, light caramel malts, and fruits. Nice mild bitterness produced by the pine and fruity hops. Kind of dry, bitter finish. Decent IPA that doesn’t destroy your tongue. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 12, 2008 12-oz. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with a thick, loose, towering, platinum blonde head. Leaves plenty of webby lace. Gorgeous to look at, just picture perfect. Dirty, wet-leaf-y, slightly sweaty nose. Very much on the dry side of IPA aromatics. Creamy medium body with firmly present carb. Caramel, biscuit, wet leaves, earth, and a bit of brown bread on the mid-palate. Where did the hops go? Neither up top nor on the tongue. Bummer. Mild nutty finish. Tranquillity (1168), Espoo, Finland
