Commercial Description:
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

12oz bottle. Pours orange/yellow with a moderate white head, spider web lace, good retention. Smells metallic and astringent hoppy with some crisp malt flavor as well. Some citrus and peach on the nose as well. Taste metallic hoppy with some peach and citrus. Good malt presence, crisp and slightly sweet. Medium body, good carbonation. Slightly dry.

Dark yellow colored, slightly cloudy appearance. Little white head. Strongly fruity aroma with soapy, finely hopped note. Medium bodied. Flavor is more lemony with also strong hops, aftertaste dries.

350ml bottle (Olutkellari, Helsinki)
Slightly hazy orange, tiny head. Hugely sweet hoppy aroma - very very USA, smelt it a million times before - and sweet malts too. Sticky sweet malts and late bitter hops - tastes like a billion other US beers. So horrifically sweet it’s simply not thirst-quenching. However, otherwise it’s quite well balanced.

Bottle. The aroma is hoppy with hints of sweet caramel. The usual IPA-hoppiness dominates the flavour. Nothing special at all.

(Bottle) Pale orange. Hazy. Medium sized quickly disappearing white head. Grassy nose. Medium bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Grass, grapefruit, bitterness, citric flavours in general and fruitiness in taste. Long fruity and bitter aftertaste.

Hazy orange color, decent off-white head. Rye-bready, honeyish hoppy aroma. Bready, hoppy, pale malty with crisp carbonation. Some sweetness in the aftertaste. Not really IPA, more like an APA. Quite similar to NC’s Red Seal Ale.

I like Nik925 description, calling it an "India Pale Lager." Malts are thicker than you find in most IPA’s and the hops are barely noticeable hiding underneath the yeast. This is a lager with a fair hop bite, but thats just my opinion.

Poorly hopped, thin flavors. I would describe it as a India Pale Lager as there is the yeast notes are that of a lager. Metallic, thin, yet still too bitter at the same time. A average beer, but a poor IPA.
