Commercial Description:
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Bottle from Total Wine on Broad Street in Richmond. Orange pour with a big meringue like head. Crisp, grassy, earthy hop aroma. Bitter hop taste with hints of citrus, pine and dirt. Sweetness in the background.

IPA lovers should go crazy over this one, but it wasn’t that spectacular for me. This is ultra-hoppy, just as advertised, leaving it tasting extremely bitter and as if mixed with grapefruit juice. I really don’t see why IPA is popular lately. This is a bold example thereof. Maybe it’s just me; I’m just not a huge fan of the style. Decent, but not great, this beer.

(USA) Pours a lite orange color with a sm-white head. The aroma is of mild pee and the taste was all pine needles, and the finish was dry. This was very unpleasant for me, and i don’t think i will drink this one again.

Bottle from world market shared with Dev Knights. Pale pour with white head. Pine citrus hops and rather dry. Sweet dry and a hop citrus acrid zing that was really not a pallet pleaser for me. One and done!

Hazy orange with a large white lacy head, slowly dissipating. Aroma of citrus hops, pine, caramel and toffee. Taste of citrus and grassy hops, grapefruit, mild caramel with a sweet hop & caramel finish that’s mildly bitter and a touch dry. Perhaps a touch thin and a little too sweet but overall a decent IPA.

Bottle shared with the Devonshire guys. Pours pale amber-orange with a white head. Smells vaguely of urine. Taste is mostly pine and sugar. Not a pleasant hop flavor. Drinkable but only barely.

Bottled. Poured clear honey with a white head. Aroma is grass and some slight vomit hop notes. Flavor is a moderately strong grassy hops. Body is light with some malt to it.
