pour is semi-hazy orange-yellow with a medium size off-white head, good lacing.
smell is earthy, some citrus, a little skunky.
taste is hops up front, some citrus, some malt in the back, ends bitter with a metallic aftertaste and thick on the tongue. Sephiroth (66), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Poured into a pint glass, this beer is a crystal clear, light golden color. There is an inch of head that leaves some nice lacing as it retreats. The nose is of floral hops and slight caramel malt.
The taste is one of balance between the malt and the hop. Yet I detect a slight bit of resin, or juiciness from the hops. This is one of the few IPAs that satisfies me. Not that I dislike the style, I am just picky when it comes to hops. The mouthfeel is of moderate carbonation, and is good. The drinkability is great. This beer is not the hoppiest IPA out there, but it tastes damn good.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Bottle from TJ’s in Fairfield. This beer was somewhat typical of the IPA style, however it had above average control of the hops on the palate. I’m not sure how they got this effect, but it seemed to linger after the drinking was done (definitely odd). On the flip side, it was a very good, drinkable IPA. I’d have it again for the price! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Pale gold (surprising, as most IPAs are more on the orange side in my limited experience). Big tropical fruit (passionfruit) aroma and flavour, richly hopped and very bitter. elelwarren (138), SF Bay area, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Pours with a huge head, with small bubbles lasting a long while. Smells mildly of caramel, tastes sweet, with a long wood-flavored finish. Quite well balanced between malts and heavy West coast dry hops. Alcohol extremely well hidden. Great, if IPAs are your thing, and you don’t want one that will totally konk you over the head with overdone hops.
