Commercial Description:
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Golden yellow in color with a nice frothy head. The aroma was light with hops. The flavor had a good balance with hops and malts the hops stood out just a tad more being an IPA. Clear and crisp finish this was a decent masses brew. The Hops where too light for me but being a NW beer drinker we are used to IPA’s that kick in your teeth.

Bottle: Pours a cloudy orange gold in color with a big white head. Aroma, citrus, grassy, some spicy yeasty notes. Flavor, pale bready malt notes, with some caramel, citrus and grassy hop flavors, with some yeast in there as well.

Bottle. Light rye bread note for the malt with flowers and herbs for the hops and a faint leather smell for the yeast and raisin in the background. Head is small, a little off-white, both creamy and bubbly, mostly lasting and has good lacing. Color is hazy amber/orange. Flavor starts moderately acidic and the long finish is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, dry and has a lively carbonation with a finish that’s metalic, astringent and very dry. Not enough complexity in flavor and aroma to say this is a really good IPA, but still a good drinking beer.

Bit cloudy with appealing slight reddish tint. Pine and citrus in the nose, which falls short of its’ strong front-loaded hop palate. Dry, chest-warming, and some nice bitter... but doesn’t carry. Solid offering, but too many others with more.

Delicious fruity and hoppy - similiar to Smuttynose IPA Despite being so damn hoppy it is very drinkable. Cheers to the North Coast Brewery!

The 12 ounce bottle poured a clear perfectly amber beverage with a moderate sized white frothy head that was well lasting and left great lacing on the glass. The aroma was intensely hoppy. Strong notes of floral and citrus joined forces to make this one stand out. The body was medium with a lively carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor starts out lightly sweet but immediately transforms to a fairly intense bitterness. The finish has a crisp, dry character and is moderately long. There is also a slight alcohol warmth in the chest at the end.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Hazy orange/copper with flat white head and lace. Hop aroma with some malt background. Fruity earthy flavors with decent bitter finish. Some earthiness, similar to other North Coast beers. Definitely a characteristic taste of the brewery which I find hard to describe. Somewhat distinctive. An interesting complex IPA, though I’m not sure how fresh it is. Wish it had a date code.
