| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 23, 2007 New arrival in Georgia and American IPA, a lethal combination I have yet to develop the ability to pass up when first spotted. Acme California IPA was not going to be the first one to put a stop to my hop seeking, obsessive buying habit. Upon opening, I immediately notice how heavily carbonated this one was. The initial pour resulted in a glass that was nearly ¾ foam. After it settled down to a clear pale amber liquid, an impressive craggy head emerged above the rim of the glass. Good deal of fine bubbles were continuously coming up though the body too. The smell was floral, citric, and herbal hops, but the impact was low key and relaxed. The taste was clean and straight forward, with a simple dextrin sweetness, and a citric hop presence with low bitterness. Body was a little thinner than I anticipated considering the respectable 6.5% ABV strength. Very easy to drain the glass rapidly. Headbanger (1598), Aurora, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Very solid, sweet hoppiness. I expected more from North Coast because their other beers are sooooo good, but don’t get me wrong, this beer is solid. I regularly pick up a six pack at Trader Joe’s. natejgood (190), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2007 This beer is an opaque golden color with an almost white head. It isn’t a dark beer, but you can’t really see through it. It has a light floral aroma. This beer has a lot of body for an IPA, but isn’t quite as hoppy as I would like and has a bit of a bitter aftertaste. It reminds me a bit of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (though I prefer the Sierra Nevada). Doesn’t taste like a traditional IPA, but isn’t a bad beer. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
