Commercial Description:
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

This beer was lightly hoppy and pleasant, but I was hoping for more robustness in the hop/bitterness of this beer. Still, it was not bad. Appearance was a hazy yellow with lots of head. Aroma was a subdued blend of maltiness and hop sweetness. Flavor also felt subdued...there was a somewhat rich hop bouquet, but it was weak in intensty. Mouthfeel was light, but a bit thin.

Bottle at Oliver Twist in Stockholm. After the Smutty this one tasted a tad thin. It’s not fair I know - but that’s beer drinking for you. A more pale yellow/orange colour and rapidly dissapating head. Has a much more pronounced malt character than the Sumttynose, and in all honesty is a more balanced beer for it. But when I’m going hop turkey, this doesn’t quite do it for me.

The Acme IPA pours a light yellow color, and settles a medium amber color with a small white head. Good lacing with a fully diminishing head. Hazy body. Aroma is of moderate strength hops with citrus notes. Initial taste is heavy bitter, shifting to a light sweet finish with an average duration. Light to medium on the mouth, we’re left conventionally dry with soft carbonation. Reviewer’s notes: Oh yea, now we’ve got some hops. Bitter, its good -- nice. I enjoy this. One of the 10 best breweries in the world. Reviewed on September 28, 2006.

Light hoppy aroma. Think off white head on an orange body. Medium bodied with heavy grassy, herbal hops. Medium malt backbone.

Some caramel malt sweetness, touches of toffee and bread dough. The hop profile is restrained and muted, unfortunately. There is a touch of astringency in the finish that I find distracting.

Pours a nice golden-copper color withabout an inch of foam. Nice lace remains throughout the whole twelve ounces. Lots of soft carbonation. Distinct citrus hop aroma from the bottle even before pouring. Lots of citrus hops dominates, but the maltiness is excellent too. Medium bodied, great pine/hops aftertaste.

This is my first Acme beer. The label has a Vargus looking girl swinging from a rope. The aroma was of grapefruit and the color light honey and inviting. The head was a robust 2 fingers and it laced down the cold glass. This is more like a Pale Ale than IPA. The IPA is little thin but with subtle bitter aftertaste. This is a smooth drink. You could enjoy most anytime. The hops are there but do not overwhelm the beer. It is good and I would order it again. My second was enjoyed in August 2008. I rescored the IPA. The grapefruit flavors were present from the beginning to the end.
