Dec 18, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a golden color, with a large white head. Hoppy, but not excessively so. Not a very strong hop aroma, but a more complex hoppy taste. Relatively dry, and a nice beer to drink. Nothing too special, especially for the style.

Nov 29, 2006 Fortunately, tastes better than it looks and smells. Pours a orange-gold, medium head. Aroma is weaker than many IPAs, somewhat balanced, and lackin the massive Cascade aroma that many in the style possess. Flavor shows fair balance, more restrained than others, hides alcohol well. Mediocre, perhaps subpar in this style.

Nov 28, 2006 Bottled. Pours a hazy golden orange with a large, fluffy, lacy white head. Citrus hop aroma with some caramel malt behind it. Lightly sweet taste that starts with grapefruit, nuts, flowers, moves on to a dry pine finish with a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste.

Nov 19, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy honey color with a thin off-white head. Pleasant floral and pine aroma. The flavor I thought was a bit subdued for an IPA. Some light grapefruit and very light sweetness initially. This is overtaken by a longer, dry finish. I’ve liked some of the other brews from North Coast, however, this one is nothing special.

Nov 3, 2006 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma is strong floral and lightly fruity hops. The flavor is vary strong floral and grapefruity hops with a crisp and sharp malt body and a sour tangy almost peppery finish.

Nov 3, 2006 Beautiful thick head. Sweet citrusy aroma. Almost no carbonation, at least in this bottle. A fairly bitter ipa, but the bitterness comes from a raw hoppiness rather than a more developed and multidimensional bitterness that I expect from a Cali Ipa. Nothing all that special here, but it’s still worth a try.

Nov 2, 2006 Bouteille de 12 oz donné par un collègue de travaille qui a été en Californie en octobre dernier. Couleur jaune/orange claire, collet moyen avec un bonne dentelle. Simple arome d’houblon peu amère. Goût d’houblon amère assé bien.

Oct 23, 2006 Bottle. Hazy light orange with a frothy off-white head, spotty lacing. Shockingly, I picked up a bit of skunk on the initial aroma, then some grassy malt and piney hops. Piney/resiny/grapefruit flavor, bittersweet hop/malt finish. Not really a standout over other IPAs from CA but otherwise not terrible.
