Commercial Description:
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

355 ml bottle. Clear amber with a decent white head. Moderat aroma of hops and caramel. Flavor is light malty, caramel and some citric hops. OK refresher but actually less bitter than many American Pale Ale.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, pale yellow body with a finger-width, white, fizzy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Looks like either a pils or a light beer. Aroma is pretty weak. Pale, bready malts and and a light grassy pine. Flavor is an unbalanced combination of sweeter, bready caramels and lemony, woody hops. Pretty bitter and not as weak as the aroma led me to anticipate, but still fairly bland. Finishes dry and lingers with a slightly toasty bitterness for a moderate duration. Palate is medium bodied and smooth. Overall, a sub par IPA. No good.

I shared a bottle of this with BeerBaron617. We didn’t finish it. It poured a pretty light orange color with a white head, and had a light hoppy aroma with a hint of citrus back. Taste, well, it wasn’t good at all. It sort of reminded me of what an orange peel tastes like.. The pulpy sort of bitter oil taste you get... Not good at all. This is a dumper.

Medium offwhite shiny head. Pale hazy amber body. Citrusy mango aroma with straw and caramel notes. Dry-sweetish intense citrusy mango taste with earthy caramel and alcohol notes. Clean, fresh palate. Mid-to-thin-bodied. Dry strawy resiny medicinal aftertaste with fruity salty notes. Very good, but not perfect. A bit thinnish and medicinal. (0.355l bottle, Olympen, Oslo.)
