Nice subtle citrus hop aroma. Dark yellow, small white head. Surprisingly strong hop taste, lots of alcohol too - very strong citrus hops. A little harsh, but flavourful - needs more body to back it up and balance it out. Lots of lingering citrus. Not bad! jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Bottle. Orangey amber body, with a small white head. Slight chill haze. Big hop aroma, mild citrus and green leafy characterisics. Very bitter, almost astringent flavour with intense grapefruit and touch of lemon, not enough malt to balance the almost obnoxious hops. Average palate. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2005 Updated: Dec 16, 2005Bottle (2x12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc, tupalev - courtesy of GregClow and yours truly. Poured slightly hazy orange with a smallish foamy head. Aroma - vague hops, strong bitter grapefruit hops; not balanced. Taste is mostly harsh grapefruit pith hops - mouthfell thin and very teeth-cleaningly astringent - not a great west coast IPA, linger is too sharp and long. wilkie (1193), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2005 Bottle. Medium white head with nice lacing. Copper body. Hoppy aroma, grass and a bit of citrus. Hoppy flavor, dryness up front, softer finish. My bottle says 6.5% abv, and it could use a tad bit more malt for a balance with the hops. Little bit of a metallic taste. Otherwise, okay and quite drinkable. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
