Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Dull hazy beige. Fresh, fruity nose (pear, peach). Soft bitterness. Very fruity character. A little watery in the finish.

Cloudy orange-brown with a small nasty looking head. Aroma is faint, but it reminds me of a fresh box of crayons. I have never had such a flavorless APA before. It’s kinda waxy; this might be what crayons taste like. I can’t taste any hops at all. Overall, this beer is a mess.

12oz Bottle. Poured a vinegar brown. A simple beer with a dry hop finish. Not a whole lot to it, but not a bad beer

This Cali pale ale is a mildly bitter brew, with just ther perfect amount of hops, slightly citrusy mouthfeel pours a dark golden colour with a nice full white head. Taste is well balanced, full, plenty carbonation with well integrated hops.

Pours a hazy orange color topped with a relatively thin head. A little lacing but nothing out of the ordinary. Fruity aroma as apricots and peaches come to mind. Faint but decent. Decent mix of malts and hops, with a mild spicy sugary flavor. This is pretty much middle of the road. I’d like more hops out of a Pale Ale. Probaby won’t blow many away but it’s quite drinkable. North Coast makes better brews than this one.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with medium off white head. Aroma is grainy with light fruity hops, some orange, pear. Flavor is mild toffee, light bitterness and citrus-like hop flavors, followed by moderate hop bitterness in the finish. Good full, lively palate.
