Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

The color was very light orange/brown. It looked watery. The head was thin, fizzy, and white. The aroma was very lacking. The flavor was a little musty, and like the aroma, it’s lacking. The palate was smooth but a little thin-bodied. The finish was abrupt.

Bottle. Pours a slightly golden color with a longlasting creamy white head. Malty hoppy aroma with some hints of honey. Sweet malty floral hoppy honey flavor. Sweet malty finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

A little extra from dirty_martini. Pours a pretty standard beer color, medium head, soft amber golden. Sour taste, kind of bad. Some hop and malt but not distinguishable. Ok brew.

Bottle, fairly sweet aroma and very light in the way of hops which is a bit suprising considering its brewed by North Coast. Taste is slightly sweet with almost no hop notes. An APA hmmm, and a PNW APA at that hmm, Its ok but not worth buying again. Just a litle to small on the hops and mouthfeel side for me. Red Seal thumps the hell out of this brew.

This wasnt bad but it defintely wasnt good. Aroma had a light hoppiness and it was mostly malt. Maybe a little bitterness to it also. Just some points for not having any defects and for being pretty easy to drink.

Medium sized offwhite head, lace is stringy and fairly abundent, retntion is good. Hazy, pale gold color. Nose of faint citrus, yeast and light stone fruit. body is med/light, lightly oily on the palate. Dry caramel malt flavors, light citrus and melony notes, lemony, a twinge spicey and fruity. Finish is almost dry and lightly fruity. An easy quaff. Thanks to dirty_martini for this one.

Draft. Some hoppy fruitiness, citrus, apricots. Pours golden blonde, big head that disipates, with thick lacing. Honey upfront with some citrus hops, with a lot of malts. It is a good session beer. I could use a little more hops.

Pours a cloudy orangey amber with minimal head and no lacing. Very pretty looking beer! Aroma is biscuts, floral hops, and some fruits -- perhaps strawberry or apricot. Taste is sour frutiness with some floral hops and mild sweet maltiness. Mouthfeel is very thin. Doesn’t really taste good, and I would not drink another. Very disappointing.
