Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

12 oz bottle, via Saarlander. Pours a clear dark gold colored body under a fizzy one finger white head that receded quickly and left heavy lacing. Aroma is doughy malt with light spicy hops and a little DMS. Flavor is very lightly malty with some light bitter hoppiness balancing things out. Still a noticable presence of DMS though. Mouthfeel is light bodied, thin, and had moderate fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, this one just didn’t do it for me. Mouch too noticable DMS.

(Bottle) Pours a murky golden color, with a small amount of head. The palate is rather weak for an APA. Bitterness is here, but seems to bring a little more of a sour note in the aftertaste. Not very good compared to other North Coast brews.

12oz bottle- A golden with a slight amber tint and a big white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and a little flowery. Taste of mild hops followed by some sweetness then on the back end a mild bitterness. A bland pale. Little disappointed is this brew.
